Proxy Settings

Proxy Settings stores optional HTTP or SOCKS5 routes for workflows that support proxy use. You do not need a proxy for normal setup. A newly saved provider is enabled, so disable it immediately when you are only recording it for later use.

Add and verify a provider

  1. Open Proxy Settings.
  2. Enter a non-sensitive Label.
  3. Select http or socks5, then enter Host and Port.
  4. Enter Username and Password only when the provider requires authentication.
  5. Choose Save Provider. The saved row starts enabled with an idle status.
  6. Choose Test and review the result.
  7. Choose Disable when the route is not needed or when the observed address, location, latency, or failure does not match what you expect. Choose Enable only when you deliberately want a supported workflow to use it.

A successful test shows that the route worked at that moment; it does not guarantee every later request. If a supported workflow fails while proxy use is enabled, stop it and determine whether the proxy or the destination service caused the failure before retrying. When the workflow must not use your normal direct connection, do not retry with the proxy disabled.

Obtain endpoints directly from the provider. Never put a proxy host with embedded credentials, username, or password in screenshots, logs, labels, support messages, or exported reports. A proxy changes the network route; it does not make an untrusted service safe or replace transaction review.
